Housekeeping FAQs Before You Leave
Water Shutoff?

Yes it is recommended. If there is a pool it will fill-up from rainwater in the summer in the fall the water can be turned on to top it off. You may want to consider an autofill or a bypass for pool care.

Electrical Shut-offs?
Yes, the range, microwave, hot water heaters, washer/dryer and dishwasher should be shut off at the breaker panel to protect against power surges. It is strongly advised to unplug any electronics that could be damaged by power surges.

What About The AC/Humidifier Settings?
Every house is different with different load capacities that said on average 78-80 degrees with 50-55% humidity. You may also want to have a portable humidifier for high humidity areas and or Damp-rid products in closets bathrooms and the like.

What About The Refrigerator?
Remove all perishable food that could spoil with a power outage. The manufactures recommend keeping refrigerators powered up they also make good storage for dry goods that could be infested with ants and the like.
